"Big The Musical"tells the iconic story of 12-year-old Josh Baskin, who makes a wish to a mysterious Zoltar machine to be “big”. He wakes up the next morning as a 30-year-old adult, thrust into the bewildering grown-up world of New York City. While Josh finds success landing a dream job at a toy company, he soon discovers that navigating adulthood is more complicated than it looks, especially when you’re still a kid at heart. Directed by Pamela LaForce, with music direction by David W. Coxeand choreography by Alex Petsche, CVLT’s production captures the wonder, excitement, and challenges of growing up through an unforgettable score and a lovable cast of characters. The production features a talented local cast led by Patrick C. Jalbert as Josh and Dimitri Kosteas as Young Josh. They are joined by Elizabeth Iafelice in the role of Susan Lawrence, Shane Johnson as Billy, Jill Eisert as Mrs. Baskin, Matt Perez-Stable as Mr. Baskin, and Mark W. Moore as George Macmillan. The cast also features Molly Walsh as Cynthia Benson, Dave Igneczi as Rick Birnbaum, Emily Penton as Mrs. Watson, Tom Jones as Pauland Zoltar, and Dev Panigrahi in the roles of the Receptionist and Diane. Rounding out the company is an ensemble including Rachel Marzullo, Aria Anders, Crispin Q. McClellan, Colton Burg, Brenton Cochran, and Sean C. Walsh. BIG is based upon the motion picture “big” Written by Gary Ross and Anne Spielberg, a Twentieth Century Fox Film. It was originally produced on Broadway by James B.
