BV Community Theater Presents "Twelve Pound Look"
Bay Village Community Theater Presents a staged reading of "The Twelve Pound Look" written by J.M. Barrie as part of its "All the World's a Stage[d Reading]" Series Written in 1910, Barrie (more famously known for penning Peter Pan) takes a thoughtful andhumorous look at women’s rights in early 20th Century England.On the eve of his knighthood, Harry Simms is full of thegreat things he considers he has achieved. A typist has been hired to answer the messages of congratulations. She turns out to be his former wife, Kate,now a freelance typist hired by his current wife. When Harry and Kate meet, the fireworksbegin! Tim Jones, Jackie Scheufler, Peter Toomey, and JessicaWilliams will be performing this delightful one-act reading. Performances will be held on Saturday, May 20 at O’NeillHealthcare’s Main Lounge at 2 PM and on Sunday, May 21 at Mojo’s Coffee at 6PM. The public is invited to attend bothperformances. Admission is free;donations to Bay Village Community Theater are graciously accepted. We will be using a sound system for the Mojo's performance.
