Stow Players Announces Open Auditions For *"The Psychic" * by Sam Bobrick directed by Chris Bizub *Performance Dates:* March 4th - March 20, 2015 on Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2:30pm *Auditions: * Sunday, December 6th at 7pm Monday, December 7th at 7pm Callbacks will be held: Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm (If Needed) *Audition location:* *Silver Springs Park Heritage Barn* 5238 Young Rd, Stow, OH 44224 (access from Young Rd. only!) *Characters - 4 Men and 2 Women* · *Adam Webster* - a down on his luck mystery writer, who comes across as a bit naïve. 20’s to 30’s · *Roy Benson* - Laura’s husband, deal making businessman - 30’s to 40’s · *Johnny Bubbles* - Rita’s mobster boyfriend straight out of "Guys and Dolls" 35 to 45 · *Norris Coslow* - NYC detective. 40’s to 50’s · *Laura Benson* - an attractive woman in her 30’s. · *Rita* - Roy’s ditzy mistress – 20’s to 30’s *Synopsis: 'The Psychic' *follows the chaotic life of Adam Webster, a down-on-his-luck writer, who has put a sign in his apartment window, in desperation to make the rent: "Psychic Readings $25." The sign soon draws the interest of the lovely and conflicted Laura, her shady husband Roy, Roy's mistress Rita, a gangster named Johnny Bubbles, and ace Detective Norris Coslow. *Winner! 2011 Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allen Poe Awards – Best Play! * Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
