PAID opportunity to create original LGBTQIA+ theatre!
QuTheatr is so excited to announce a collaboration with Rubber City Theatre, a *Discussion and Audition Workshop* about what it is like to make honest, queer theatre. Featuring actors from *Through His I* and *Tame*, both written by Josy Jones, this conversation will touch on the successes and failures of these particular shows, and how to turn experience into expressive performance. Then, we will immediately put those words into action, by creating our own one-minute plays. This event is mandatory for those interested in joining the QuTheatr troupe for the creation of “Pride 365” this summer. (If you are unable to attend, please reach out, other arrangements may be made). *AUDITION LOCATION: Balch Street Theatre, 220 S. Balch Street, **Akron, OH 44302* *AUDITION TIME: Thursday, March 3, 6:30-9:30 PM ET* REQUIREMENTS: Just bring an open mind to learn and a willingness to participate! No age restrictions. PERFORMANCE INFO: To be performed in the Summer of 2022, "Pride 365" will be a cast-devised piece about queer joy. Performance and rehearsal schedule will be finalized with cast input of availability. We are looking for a troupe of approximately ten individuals, each of whom will be paid $500 for completion of contract.
