Friday Burning River Baroque concert in Lakewood
Join Burning River Baroque for a special one-night-only-in-Cleveland performance of exquisite and dynamic 17th-century Italian vocal works. Malina Rauschenfels (soprano, baroque violin) and Paula Maust (harpsichord, mezzo-soprano) will be joined by Canadian guest artist Bud Roach (tenor and baroque guitar) for a program of music and texts from Northern Italy that explores the various facets of love. Beloved songs of Monteverdi and Merula, rare works by Marini and Borlasca, a playful Sances dialogue, and exciting Frescobaldi duets will be seamlessly woven into an extraordinary and dramatic hour.
