Workshop Opportunity: Introduction to Immersive Storytelling
*Center for Applied Theatre and Active Culture (CATAC) is happy to partner with *Projectxx1 <https://www.projectxx1.com/>, *from Italy, to offer a two-day immersive workshop!* The workshop will introduce the principles and practices used by Project xx1 to create immersive experiences. These techniques are used by Project xx1 to develop performing pieces, educational experiences, and training programmes to foster diversity and inclusion. The introductory workshop is focused on the performance aspects of Project xx1’s practice and welcomes both participants with a performing arts background (e.g., some years of experience in dance, music, theatre) and beginners. We will focus on creating small pieces open to free exploration by the spectator and on 1-1 short performances. *The work will focus on*:* - Physical training and guidance exercises - Sensorial Theatre - Experimental storytelling - Creation of original materials - Sharing stage - Connecting with your “guests” *When:* Saturday, Aug 13th, 1-6PM *AND* Sunday, Aug 14th, 9AM-1PM *Where:* Balch Street Theatre, 220 S.
