AUDITIONS: The Penultimate Problem of Sherlock Holmes
East Cleveland Theater is hosting auditions for “The Penultimate Problem of Sherlock Holmes”, by John Nassivera. *Director: Michael Lenzo* Winner of three 2017 Broadway World Awards, including Best Director, Best Scenic Design, and Best Sound Design. *Synopsis:* Sherlock Holmes, to debunk the mystical world, invites a leading psychic to his house to conduct a seance. Sherlock, in his fashion, can explain away all the spirits that manifest themselves but one ... Arthur Conan Doyle himself, the creator of Sherlock Holmes. *The Roles:* (Ages listed are somewhat flexible.) *Dr Watson**: *Male, 40s to 50s Sherlock Holmes sidekick. *Arthur Conan Doyle**: *Male, 30s An author, and creator of Sherlock Holmes. *Professor James Moriarty**: *Male, 40s to 50s Sherlock Holmes arch nemesis, and whose assignment is to kill Sherlock Holmes. *Inspector Lestrade**: *Male, 30s to 40s An inspector of Scotland Yard, he is there to protect the psychic, Mrs. Piper. *Mrs. Hudson**: *Female, 40s to 60s Sherlock Holmes landlord, and a character in most scenes. *Audition Dates:* *Auditions are by appointment only.* Wednesday, January 17, from 5 to 6pm. Friday, January 19, from 5:30 to 7pm. Sunday, January 21, from 12 to 1pm. Sunday, January 21, from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Only those roles listed are available. All ethnicities considered, and the stated age ranges can be somewhat flexible. Auditioners should be prepared to read from the script. Exact dates have not been determined. We typically have rehearsals Sundays thru Wednesdays (4 days / week), but again that is not yet set in stone.
