Tri-C Student Thesis Film : A HAPPY HOME

A Happy Home

Logline: While trying to escape fishing with his dad at the park, Tyree stumbles upon his best friend’s dad, who appears to be on a date with a woman that is not his wife.

CAST: All characters are of color.

Tyree: 16-17 years old. Focused on fashion, social media, and girls. He's audacious, pretentious, but he actually cares much more than he portrays. The comedic friend that is known to exaggerate a situation.

Jaden: 16-17 years old. Main focus is academics and athletics. He idolizes his father but wants to do things his way. He’s poised and adaptable. Proper and carries himself well.

Malcolm: Late 30s-mid 40s. An outdated type of father that believes in “old school” principles. He’s dull, high on morals, and detached from the modern world. There is unspoken envy that he hides towards Darian because of his relationship with Tyree and Jaden.

Darian: Mid 30s-mid 40s. Appears younger than he is. Looked at as the “cool dad”. An ex athlete and thriving entrepreneur. He has a charming nature, confident but not cocky, and an infectious smile.

April: Mid 30s-mid 40s. Slim thick to BBW build. She's an art designer, interior decorator, and fashion consultant. She is confident, elegant, and makes her responsibilities as a wife and mom her priority.

Angelique “Angie”: Late 20s-late 30s. Has tattoos and piercings. Possess a quiet beauty. Soft spoken. She is alluring and has the ability to attract men and women of all races and ages.
