Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo St., Conneaut, OH, is planning its return to the stage with a hilarious play-within-a-play comedy. "Play On!" by Rick Abbot will come to the ABOB stage April 22-24, 29, 30 and May 1. Show times will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. The show features a variable cast of 10 actors of various ages - from 3-6 men and 4-7 women. It revolves around a community theater group desperately trying to put on a play despite interference from the author, who keeps revising the script. Everything that can go wrong, does go wrong and the laughs are non-stop. Though the play is a farce, it is deceptively challenging from the performing and production viewpoints - it will require strong technical acting skills and comedic ability to pull it off. Auditions will be Feb. 5-6 at the theater. The Saturday, Feb. 5, session will be from 6-8 p.m. and the Sunday, Feb 6, auditions will run from 5-7 p.m. The audition will consist of readings from the script.
