The company will perform one of their most highly regarded works, “NEW WORK FOR GOLDBERG VARIATIONS”. Premiered in 2017 to rave reviews. The piece deconstructs classical, formal and traditional movement vocabularies and converses with Bach’s iconic score in a delightful interplay of rhythm, style and idiosyncrasy. Shifting between encoded gestures and virtuosic dancing the movement explores Goldberg’s musical architecture. The piece was called a “rare achievement” (The New York Times). As a choreographer, Pam Tanowitz is known for her abstract treatment of classical and contemporary movement ideas.Pam Tanowitz Dance has been selected by the New York Times Best of Dance series in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. *Watch a clip from the performance , click here. <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm_omTvRot0>* *Sarah Sumbrum **(Formerly Hricko)* Marketing & Artistic Director DANCECleveland 13110 Shaker Square, Suite 106 Cleveland, Ohio 44120 p. 216-991-9000 sarah@dancecleveland.org <sdurham@dancecleveland.org> *The Curtain Rises Again!
