It’s the perfect occasion for his ghost to return to tell his wife he loved her … something he neglected to tell her for 41 years. The problem is, Mom can't hear or see him, and besides, she’s invited a date for dinner. *A NICE FAMILY GATHERING: CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:* *CARL*: 30’s -The middle brother. Carl is an aspiring writer who is currently working as a delivery truck driver. A good guy. Lacking direction at this time. *MOM*: 60’s loving and caring. She is struggling to deal with the loss of her husband and is showing signs of memory loss. *DAD*: 60’s Recently deceased. He visits the family at this gathering but is only seen and heard by his son, Carl. He wants to make sure that the family knows that he truly loves them all and he is sorry for never telling them. *MICHAEL*: 30’s The older brother. Michael is married to Jill and is a Doctor like his father. Struggling with financial issues and fertility issues. *JILL*: Late 20’s or early 30’s Sweet and emotional. Going through fertility issues. *STACY*: 20’s - early 30’s Sister to Michael and Carl. Has secrets to share at the gathering. Announces she is Gay and Pregnant. *JERRY*: 60’s - Family friend who might be interested in dating the Mom. Jokester *MRS. ENQUIST*: Next door neighbor. Never seen. Voiceover only.
