Akron's Center for Applied Drama and Autism Calls for Proposals Featuring Neurodiverse Voices for New Media Broadcast Project
Earlier this year, the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) pledged just under $15,000.00 to the Center for Applied Drama and Autism (CADA) to provide access, training, and experience for neurodiverse performers in podcasting and social networking through a new media project called the Inclusive Chatter Network (ICN). “For neurodiverse content creators, the Inclusive Chatter Network is an opportunity for paid professional development,” says Artistic Lead, Tessa Gaffney. “For the audience, it is an accepting online community with various ways to participate in, connect with, and influence the content.” CADA is actively seeking sponsors whose contributions will be matched by OAC. The ICN Content Committee is accepting proposals now through December 11 at 11:59 PM. Selected projects will be provided a budget for production costs and stipends ranging from $500.00-$3000.00, depending on the scope of the project.
