[image: C:\Users\ansleyv\Google Drive\Medina Files\Summer 2016\OHYES_facebook.jpg] Contact: Ansley Valentine (330) 899-7150 ansleyvalentine@gmail.com OHIO YOUTH ENSEMBLE STAGE (OHYES) ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “Disney's Frozen JR. ” MUSICAL MEDINA, OH (April 23, 2019) – The Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage (OHYES) announces auditions for Disney's Frozen JR. The musical is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The production will be directed by Ansley Valentine with choreography by Michelle Hujar and music direction by Malik Khalfani. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, May 13th 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Montville Township Safety Services Center. 6665 Wadsworth Rd, Medina, OH 44256. Auditions are open to anyone from age 8-18. Audition appointments can be made online at https://ohyes.as.me/. Any student who cannot attend the scheduled audition date should email ansleyvalentine@gmail.com to request to submit a video audition. The production will be presented June 28th, 29th, and 30th in Medina. Auditioning students do not need to prepare anything in advance. Auditions consist of reading from the script and learning a song. First-time participants are encouraged to audition. There is a $120 participation fee for any student in the cast. The fee helps to defray some of the program costs, and every child receives a t-shirt and two tickets to the production. There is financial assistance available for any child who demonstrates a need. A new adaptation scaled for student actors, Disney's Frozen JR. features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. The Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage past productions include Alice in Wonderland, Shrek the Musical Jr., Jungle Book, and others. Students from Cuyahoga, Medina, and Summit counties regularly participate in the program. ABOUT THE Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage is a program for children from elementary through high school age. The program offers theatre classes, and a fully-produced musical production each summer. Participation is open to all students, regardless of ability, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify. We encourage first time participants and believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the performing arts.
