Auditions for Playwrights Festival at convergence-continuum
CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM IS HOLDING AUDITIONS FOR NEOMFA PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL SAT, DEC 21 AT 3 PM & SUN, DEC 22 AT 7 PM For the ninth year running, convergence-continuum will produce the plays of grad students in the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) program in playwriting. The Festival will take place over two weekends: Feb. 13-16 and Feb. 20-22 next year. Rehearsals will start the second week of January. Those who have participated in the past can testify that the Festival is an intensive, busy and thoroughly fun experience! This time there will be one full-length play (by Morgan Elswick), one one-act play (by Ralph Meyers) and two 10-minute plays (Justin Lazor / Oana Leuca). The full-length will be presented on one of the weekends, and the three shorter plays will be presented on the other. In all, the four plays have at least 17 roles: from younger to older actors, of all genders, races and ethnicities. Auditions will consist of readings from the scripts, but the auditions will be general Festival auditions, not for specific plays. All four directors will be present. It is possible that you could be cast in a play that you did not read from during auditions. It is also could be possible that you may be cast in two plays, e.g. a full-length + a 10-minute play, or two 10-minute plays. ALL THOSE AUDITIONING SHOULD SHOW UP AT EITHER 3 PM ON SATURDAY OR 7 PM SUNDAY at CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM, 2438 SCRANTON RD, CLEVELAND 44113 (Tremont neighborhood).
