The catch is, the audience gets to decide the order of the plays. As the clock ticks away, can the actors get them all done in time? Directed by: Rory Cupach, Alexis Goldthorpe, Cian Liaskos and Aiden Woods. and Act Two: This Uh...Body, an original mime drama by Michael Lee, professional mime visiting as Artist in Residence. The setting is a busy street filled with busy people all with busy jobs and too busy to notice an obvious Body that has appeared. All done with a poetic, stylized physical acting and original music score, the play reveals much about a society that has tuned out. Originally composed in 1992 by Nancy Lyon, Dennis Schaller, Rebecca Surmont and Michael Lee, who met while studying with the famous French mime Marcel Marceau. "T.U.B." has grown to a 40-minute, 15 actor mime drama, and is in the repertoire of Michael Lee & Opus Mime. The play was selected for Main Stage at the International Thespian Festival after winning competition at the Texas State Thespian Fest in 2010. Michael Lee's career has ranged from solo performances at schools, festivals and colleges across the U.S. to teaching and movement coaching for theater productions, trade conventions, and even World and Olympic figure skaters (gold and silver medalists, ice dance, 2010 and 2014 Olympics). More can be found at www.michaelleemime.com Michael will be performing some solo mime pieces before intermission as well. The MLS Theatre Company is a student-run organization. Every student involved in the productions is between the ages 14-18 and students take care of every aspect of the theatre productions. With a director, tech director, and assistant sponsor supervising, students are given leadership positions in order to design and build the sets, lights, sound, props, costumes, makeup, programs, publicity, and programs for the theatre. Students also run the Box Office and front of house. Each year, three shows are put on for the public. This year's season includes Diary of Anne Frank, student directed Winter Festival of Plays and the spring musical, South Pacific.
