WEEK 2: March 14 – 16 <https://www.cptonline.org/performances/seasons/2023-2024/test-flight-week-2-temptation-of-adam/> Temptation of Adam Written by Samantha Cocco Directed by Mike Frye The onset of World War 3 forces a select few to move underground into top-secret missile silos. In one such bunker we find Adam, a nuclear scientist given a grave responsibility; his loyal friend Danny, grappling with his family's health; and Marie, the strong-willed object of Adam's affection. While Danny and Marie worry about the survival of their loved ones and the world, Adam's trepidation lies with whether his budding relationship with Marie would survive above ground. Temptation of Adam examines the toll that isolation takes on our lives and relationships and what we might do when desperate for love and human connection. WEEK 3: March 21-23 <https://www.cptonline.org/performances/seasons/2023-2024/test-flight-week-3-how-to-live-in-a-house-on-fire/> How to Live in a House on Fire Written and Directed by Kari Barclay It’s 2020 in Berkeley, California, and wildfires are raging. As a gay couple prepares to evacuate, they decide what from the 50 years of their relationship to take with them and what to leave behind. Their preparations take them back to the night they met in a queer commune in Berkeley in radical 1970, when other fires raged through the community, and they dared to dream of a better future. WEEK 4: March 28 - 30<https://www.cptonline.org/performances/seasons/2023-2024/test-flight-week-4-tales-of-a-fat-man/> Tales of a Fat Man Written by Tyree J. Franklin Directed by Roy Tyrone James II As you can guess, the play follows the journey of a larger man's past, present, and future of navigating this world in the body he's had since childhood. It's a sort of coming-of-age retelling of the good, bad, & ugly tendencies of society.
