*MULTIPLE FILMMAKING PROGRAMS FOR KIDS NOW OPEN!* *Lakewood Young Filmmakers Academy* is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering youth through the cinematic arts. We offer multiple programs for kids and teens to express themselves using filmmaking as the catalyst. Our students learn about filmmaking in a fun and safe environment with like-minded individuals at our Lakewood studio located on Madison Avenue. The following programs are now accepting new applicants! *8 Week Film School* This is a comprehensive film studies program *specifically designed for kids and teens ages 10-17.* Movies are an important part of our lives and more and more kids are becoming interested in how they are made. LYFA's eight week program is designed to give your child a crash course in how to create professional movies from start to finish. From screenwriting to lighting and sound, to camera work to editing, LYFA's award winning instructors will guide your child through the creative process and onto a journey of artistic expression using the cinematic arts. The camp culminates in a Red Carpet Premiere of their film at The Capitol Theatre where their movie will be seen by a packed house of filmmakers, media, fans, friends and family.
