The overall theme of this discussion is "Raising The Bar: Going From Indie To Pro". Topics will include: *essential gear on a limited budget *using with SAG/AFTRA talent *working with actors *mistakes that hold back indie filmmakers *careers in film A brief period for networking will begin at 6:30pm, followed by the panel discussion at 7:00pm. Our panel of speakers include: *Mary Faktor*Mary is a professional actor, speaker and business owner. A member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), graduate of The Second City of Chicago and Cleveland Improv Institute, Mary isfeatured in several films such as AMERICAN SPLENDOR (with Paul Giamatti), THE WINNER IS...(with Jerry Springer) FOX Sports Network Special, LIGHT UP LIKE VEGAS(With Wayne Newton), MADE IN CLEVELAND (with Busy Philipps), and has just wrapped up filming LUX INTENEBRIS (with Eric Roberts) and THE KINGSBURY RUN (with Terry Kiser).Mary’s original one-woman comedy show, “The Six Ages of Woman” has been entertaining corporations, associations, hospitals, churches, and organizations across the country for over three decades. *Mike Holyko* Mike is the Education Coordinator/Student Services for Ohio Media School (OMS). After graduating from OMS (formerly Ohio Center for Broadcasting) himself, Mike began working as on-air talent for WMMS, MIX106, WZOO, as a producer for WTAM, and as Traffic Reporter for Metro Traffic. When not behind the microphone, Mike found time to act in the Assassin Squad CSU sketch comedy show, as well as theatre, stand-up comedy, and film--including the 2012 Cleveland 48HFP film Death and Taxes as well as the feature film Made in Cleveland. Mike also served in the U.S. Air Force, has Bachelor's Degrees in Communication and Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Psychology.
