Audition Notice “Without a Clue” a killer new comedy written by Breianne Knight Directed by John Schneider Audition dates and times Sunday, August 20th at 2:00 Monday, August 21st at 7:00 Olde Towne Hall Theatre – 36119 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville Auditions will consist of reading scenes from the script. Plot Summary Justin Tyme owns a small hotel that has its share of problems. During a thunderstorm, the maid, Lulu, discovers one of the guests staying at the hotel has been murdered. Brooke, a girl with a broken down car, arrives right before an inept detective. Pretty soon, all of the guests are brought together to figure out the killer’s identity and survive the night. The problems double when Sally Lynch, a building inspector, arrives to evaluate the condition of the hotel. Character Descriptions Justin Tyme – age 20s to 30s. Owner of the Falcon Inn. A bit high strung. Inspector Stumph – any age. A bumbling detective. Howard - any age. A wise-cracking, lazy maintenance man. Can double as the dead body and is carried around onstage. Slash - 20s. A wannabe British rock star with a fake accent. Mortimer - any age. Expressionless. Monotone. Sits on a couch and wears a cape. Glen Roberts - a dead body. Brooke – age 20s to 30s. Level headed. Points out the absurdity of the situation. Lulu – age 20s to 30s. The maid. Often confused. Has a crush on Justin. Tina – age 20s. Slash's girlfriend. Somewhat neurotic. Has fainting spells. Sally Lynch - age 35+. A building inspector. Very stern and serious. Actors need to feel comfortable performing physical comedy (tripping, stumbling and falling). Performances are September 29, 30, and October 6, 7, 8, 13, 14. Rehearsals will be Monday - Thursday at 7:15 with two Sunday rehearsals at 12:00. Rehearsals start Aug. 24. Questions?
