Cultural Arts & Nature Programmer Location: French Creek Nature Center Rate of Pay: $16.62 per hour Job Description:Production and conducting a wide variety of educational programs related to the arts, nature and the cultural history of Lorain County. Involvement in temporary and permanent displays and exhibits. The position requires work with program and staff scheduling, as well as supervision of seasonal and part-time employees as assigned. Facility set-up and maintenance is also required. This position requires outstanding oral and written communication skills, and courteous and professional ability in working with large and diverse groups of people. The position also performs related duties as apparent and assigned. Job Qualifications: Bachelor's (preferred) or associate degree in the field of arts, theater or cultural history. At least two years' experience in above fields preferred, with experience in developing and conducting educational programs a must. Experience in public relations, customer service, administrative support, and scheduling events and/or staff also necessary. Basic computer skills, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail necessary: computer-generated presentation experience (i.e., PowerPoint) highly preferred. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Must possess valid Ohio driver's license and undergo background check. Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users.
