CPT announces auditions for youth program (CAN)
CLEVELAND PUBLIC THEATRE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR CLEVELAND ACT NOW - WINTER 2018 SESSION WINTER BREAK AUDITION-BASED YOUTH THEATRE PROGRAM 10-14 YEARS OLD ANNOUNCEMENT Cleveland Act Now is a theatre training program for young artists that is fun and challenging. Youth learn acting fundamentals and ensemble creation. The winter session is focused on devising theatre inspired by social justice and culminates in a public performance at Cleveland Museum of Art's Martin Luther King Day celebration on Monday, January 21. Under the dedicated guidance of CPT Teaching Artists, young artists hone their performing skills. This rigorous training also supports academic skills, interpersonal and personal skills, and helps to instill empathy and responsibility while building character and enhancing creative thinking. This program is for youth ages 10-14 years old who are interested in a creative theatre training that focuses on acting fundamentals, storytelling, and playwriting. The program has a priority to serve Cleveland residents, but youth who live outside of Cleveland are welcome to audition. The program is offered at no cost. Enrollment is by audition.
