Workshop Players "Forever Plaid" Opens THIS Thursday, January 18!
Directed by Mike Larochelle Vocal Direction and Choreography by Brenda Larochelle Written and Originally Directed and Choreographed by STUART ROSS Musical Continuity Supervision and Arrangements by James Raitt Originally Produced by Gene Wolsk Directors Mike and Brenda Larochelle make their Workshop directorial debut with four male characters who have the unique chance for a do-over. Meet Sparky (Alex Turner), Smudge (David Reich), Jinx (Nick Salazar), and Frankie (Danny Sabo), whose dreams of becoming their own pitch perfect Doo-Wop group were cut short by an untimely deadly accident on the way to their first gig. Miraculously, the clouds open and the “Plaids” have one opportunity to come back to earth (except in our case it’s actually 7 chances!) to strut their stuff … and strut they do! Get ready for a nostalgic trip back to the fabulous 50s as they deliver beloved songs alongside delightful patter. It’s a hoot for them and a special treat for us! It’s the perfect show to take the chill out of those winter blues. Performances are January 17, 18, 19, 25 & 26 at 7:30 p.m. with matinees on Sundays, January 20 and 27 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, but group rates are available. -- Workshop Players 44820 Middle Ridge Road, Amherst, OH 44001 Box Office: 440-988-5613 (Box Office hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) contact@workshopplayers.com www.workshopplayers.com "If all the world's a stage, I want better lighting!"
