PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Adult community dancers share their love of dance with seniors The AdVerb Project is an outreach extension of Verb Ballets' community engagement CLEVELAND, OH - A group compromised of nine adults over age forty have rekindled an appreciation of dance and want to share their love of movement with local seniors. The AdVerb Project is a group comprised of local community members taking Dance for Everyone classes at the Verb Ballets studio in Shaker Heights. The Dance for Everyone classes are open to anyone who shares the love of dance. Dance classes are available for a variety of different ability levels from beginner to advanced. The program serves over 200 students annually ages 13-65 and up. The AdVerb Project developed out of adult learners looking to experience what it is like to be a professional dancer and to learn to perform. Verb Ballets' Associate Director, Richard Dickinson leads a performance workshop where community members participate in the process of developing a piece for performance including learning choreography and performance techniques. Rehearsals are held once a week. In an effort to give back to the community The AdVerb Project will be performing for seniors at local nursing homes over the next five weeks including: June 24 at The Slovene Home for the Aged; Cleveland; July 8 at Salida Woods; Mentor; July 15; Aberdeen Crossing; Highland Heights and July 22 at Fairmount Health and Rehabilitation; Willoughby. All performances are at 7pm.
