AUDITIONS this Wednesday, May 25 for "Harbor" at con-con
CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM IS HOLDING AUDITIONS FOR HARBOR BY CHAD BEGUELIN WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, AT 7 PM AT THE LIMINIS THEATER, 2438 SCRANTON RD, CLEVELAND 44113 IN THE TREMONT NEIGHBORHOOD. Harbor is directed by Cory Molner, and will open Fri, July 8 and run Thurs-Sat through July 30. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. You do not have to prepare an audition monologue. Harbor is a fast-paced, hilarious comedy that tells the story of two newlyweds, Kevin and Ted, who live in an affluent subset of the Hamptons. When Kevin's fifteen-year-old niece Lottie and her ne'er-do-well mother Donna drop in unannounced on the couple's beautiful Sag Harbor home, all hell breaks loose. If you plan to audition, or have any questions, please reply to convergence-continuums Artistic Director Clyde Simon at csimon@convergence-continuum.org Auditioning for two males, two females. Male roles: 30-something, preppy, newly married couple: Ted is an architect, privileged background. The more sensible of the two. Hes glossy and satisfied. Really dislikes kids. Kevin is a would-be writer, wants to be a novelist but works (sometimes) writing tourist brochures, originally from a trailor trash background, but has adapted well to Teds way of life. Wants what Ted wants, except for the kid thing. Would love to be a parent. Female roles: Donna, Kevins older sister (mid-to-late 30s). Pot-head, neer do well. Loud, brassy and tacky . Shes pregnant again (father unknown). Lives in her van with her 15-year-old daughter, Lottie. Lottie, smart, precocious in fact, well read. One of those smarter-than-the-adults teenagers. Has a sharp, sarcastic wit. Smart AND a smart-ass. (Were not looking for an actual 15-yr-old, but someone who could play 15.)
