*“Little Women” The Musical being performed at * *Western Reserve Playhouse* The novel “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott comes alive as a captivating all-new Broadway musical adaptation, opening October 5, 2018 and runs till October 20, 2018 at Western Reserve Playhouse 3326 Everett Rd., Bath, Ohio 44268. This family friendly, high-energy production is directed by WRP’s Artistic Director, Dawn Sniadak-Yamokoski, and choreographer, Jen Justice, with musical direction by Dave Stebbins. Costume design by Kelsey Tomlison, Set Design Todd Plone, Light Design Kevin Rutan, Sound Design by Justin Herman and Stage Managed by Brianna Laybourn. “Little Women” follows four sisters—independent, aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth, all under the watchful eye of their beloved mother, Marmee, while their father is away serving in the Civil War. Each sister follows a different path but not necessarily what is expected. This coming-of-age tale is filled with drama, romance, humor and music. “Little Women, The Musical,” book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, soars with vibrant and sweeping song and dance, featuring: Kaity Poschner (Jo), Bernadette Hisey (Marmee), Kayla Lehman (Meg), Tenley Stitzer (Amy), Abigail Lyman (Beth), Shelly Palumbo (Aunt March), Jay Sigler (Professor Bhaer), Michael Knobloch (Laurie), Steven Schuerger (Mr. Brooke), and Walt Kaminiski (Mr. Laurence). The principle characters are backed by live musicians and an ensemble of singers and dancers, including: Molly Kessler, Dorota Zarzycka, Emily Shipley, Hanna Case and Christina Worcester.
