“Letting Go of God” by Julia Sweeney to be performed by Harriet DeVeto at Western Reserve Playhouse November 4th at 8PM. Local theatre luminary, Harriet DeVeto, performs a staged reading of Julia Sweeney’s “Letting Go of God.” DeVeto is thrilled to be back on the WRP stage after appearing in “Scotland Road”, directed by Co-Artistic Director Brian Westerley, earlier this fall. DeVeto has appeared on local & regional stages, including a stint with the Great Lakes Theatre Festival. Her most recent performances include: “4000 Miles” & “The Waverly Gallery” at Weathervane; “Sans Merci” at None Too Fragile; “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” at Stow Players; “Night of January 16th" at WRP; & her OCTA award-winning role as Silda in “Other Desert Cities” at Wolf Creek Players. Letting Go of God is a humorous monologue by Julia Sweeney chronicling her search for God. She begins in the Catholic Church, the religion her family raised her in, & takes a Bible study class. What she learns there leads her to new questions &, in her search for answers, she explores meditation, Buddhism & New Age gurus. She discovers that to accept the truth leads to surprising revelations. Tickets: $10.00 for everyone To reserve tickets, please visit our website: www.westernreserveplayhouse.org The venue is located at 3326 Everett Rd., Bath, OH
