International Choreographer Premieres New Work in Cleveland this Saturday Lee Ming-Cheng joined Verb Ballets for a three-month residency through The Cleveland Foundation's Creative Fusion program, bringing a world-class style and vision to the company. Ming-Cheng is the art director and creator of Body Expression Dance Theatre (EDT Body) in Taiwan. His work at EDT Body is transdisciplinary which combines tradition, installations, digital, technology, and instrumental music. His works have been nominated and awarded including Creative Award, Taishin Art Award, Taipei Digital Art Award and respectively granted dance and technology research awards from the Ministry of Culture. Ming-Cheng's technique and eastern movements find their origins in the martial art of Taiqi. His new work The Arrival of Departure will bring innovation and technology to Verb Ballets.
