*CLEVELAND MUSICAL THEATRE'S* *DANCE + MOVEMENT INTENSIVE* *WITH BROADWAY DANCERS & CHOREOGRAPHERS* August 4-6, 2017 at Tri-C Eastern Campus Open to Students Ages 13+ *ABOUT THE INTENSIVE* Work with Broadway dancers, professional choreographers and movement directors on mastering the most iconic approaches to dance and movement. You'll learn numbers created by Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, and Michael Bennett, discover their unique language for dance, approach acting from a physical world with "Viewpoints" and "Laban," explore original Broadway choreography with a Broadway dancer from a hit musical, and much more! The weekend will culminate in a final showcase, presenting workshopped choreography from the intensive and featured numbers from CMT's guest faculty members. *ABOUT THE FACULTY* *THAYNE JASPERSON:* Thayne is currently playing Samuel Seabury in the Broadway company of Hamilton, a role which he originated. He has also appeared on Broadway in the companies of Matilda & Newsies, as well as in Finding Neverland at the American Repertory Theatre. Thayne is known for being a finalist on Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance, and for his appearances in High School Musical & High School Musical 2. MARTÍN CÉSPEDES: Martín has recently choreographed The Cleveland Foundation 101th Gala (Sir Ken Robinson keynote speaker), and As You Like It for Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. Performance credits include Broadway National Tours of Man of La Mancha with Jack Jones and Ron Holgate; The King and I with Hayley Mills, Marie Osmond, Maureen McGovern and Faith Prince; South Pacific with Robert Goulet; West Side Story with Bebe Neuwirth, and the lavish PBS production of Le Cid with Placido Domingo and the Washington National Opera, broadcast live from Kennedy Center, and NBC's Dance Fever. He is an alumnus of the Jacque d’Amboise National Dance Institute while attending PS 161.
