Columbia Local Schools in Columbia Station, OH is looking to add a Technical Director to our growing Musical Theater program. Paid position! This position would focus on technical execution of our Spring Musical (April 19-20th). This position is new and unique for our district. Candidates should demonstrate not only technical experience, but also have a passion for working with students in public schools. Time in the school will mostly take place from February-April with flexibility to determine your own schedule before the final two weeks of the run. Goals for this position: ● Work with students to create a student centered crew ● Help delegate roles and responsibilities to our crew students ● Collaborate with the rest of the Directing Team ● Sound Design ● Lighting Design ● Set Painting - organize student & parent volunteers QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge in the areas of Sound Design & Lighting Design. Experience working with kids (Middle/High School aged). Desired but not required: set design experience.
