Swing Island is an opportunity to practice CLASSIC swing (Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Balboa, Charleston, etc.). A practice environment where one can perfect newly acquired moves, gain feedback from peers and have a good time. We encourage everyone to come with something in mind you would like to work on. LOCATION - pin Forest City Brewery 2135 Columbus Rd., Cleveland, Ohio 44113 Forest City Brewery is just off West 25th Street in Ohio City (access is actually gained from Freeman Ave.) Remember, the best way to put a smile on the owners face is to spend a little money. TIME - 7 pm - 10 pm. There is no cover and there are no formal lessons provided. We ask that you support the Forest City Brewery as they support us. COST - FREE WHO CAN ATTEND? Anyone with an interest in swing dance or partnered dance. No previous experience or a partner required. - A small reminder: Please be a polite and civil dance partner. Always ask your dance partner if they want feedback before you offer it. If you ask for feedback, be open to receiving it without being defensive. Feedback should always be offered in a constructive and positive manner. This is NOT a Get Hep Swing event but loads of Get Hep Swing dancers and teachers attend and run the event.
