Auditions for the 2017-2018 season of Theatre in the Circle will be held: Thursday, July 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. or by appointment. Friday, July 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. or by appointment. Callback auditions will be held on Saturday, July 29 by appointment. Roles will be cast for: “The All Night Strut” (September 21-24, 2017): 2 women (S&A); 2 men (T&B). All must be singer/dancers and be comfortable with 30’s-40’s musical genres. The libretto advises: “Each performer must be a unique individual capable of dynamic solo work and the ability to blend with the group as a whole." “The Gift of the Magi” (December 14-17, 2017): 1 woman (S, 18-30 years old); 1 man (high baritone or tenor, 18-30 years old). “Nunsense A-Men” (May 17-20, 2017): 5 men, (2 Tenors, 3 Baritones. Comedic actors who move well. Age range 18-70!) MOTHER SUPERIOR, Sophie Tucker type who can’t resist the spotlight. SISTER MARY HUBERT, Mother Superior wannabe. SISTER ROBERT ANNE, Street-wise toughie from Brooklyn, the bane of Mother Superior’s existence. SISTER MARY AMNESIA, Extremely sweet, but with no memory as a result of a liturgical accident.
