Whether you’re creating for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok, it’s easier than ever to take on the roles of producer, writer, and editor - all in one! But knowing where to start can sometimes be overwhelming. Over this 6 week course, I will take you through practical steps to write, shoot, and edit a comedy video that showcases your talents, gives your confidence a boost, and jumpstarts your online comedy portfolio. This course is for anyone who wants to write, create, and star in their own content - no prior experience necessary! All you need is a smartphone, a tripod, and basic editing software such as iMovie. (There are other free programs you can find online). You will get a crash course in comedic structure, work your idea out in a virtual writers room, and get writing, performance, and editing feedback from the instructor. At the end of six weeks, you will come out with a polished video you can proudly upload into the virtual world, and the power to continue making quality videos on your own.
