Performer Auditions Sunday 7/26 for Micro Theater CLE!
AUDITIONS! Sunday, July 29, 5:00-7:00 pm At the Brownhoist Building (4403 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland) Micro Theater CLE has finalized its lineup for our next popup festival on September 11th and 12th! Micro Theater CLE: Tremont Reloaded will fill a corner of the Tremont neighborhood with more than 25 short performances happening simultaneously. Each show is 10-15 minutes and takes place 3-5 times each night. Shows will take place in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bars, and outdoor spaces. Read more at https://www.microtheatercle.com/. The micro theater concept started in Madrid before launching in Miami and Buenos Aires, and now Cleveland. It’s fast. It’s chaotic. Our first two festivals in 2024 showcased 200 free performances of 38 new works to over 900 Clevelanders, and in 2025 we partnered with BorderLight Theatre Festival, IngenuityFest, and Arts at the Abbey at the Hermit Club to bring performances to the Downtown and St. Clair/Superior neighborhoods. Now we're bringing the madness back to more spaces in Tremont! *****AUDITION DETAILS***** **No appointment needed!** If you'd prefer a specific audition time and/or would like to read the audition sides in advance, please email info@microtheatercle.com with your name, contact information, a headshot or photo of yourself, and a resume or brief description of your acting experience. You will then receive a confirmation email with your scheduled 30-minute audition window and a copy of the sides. **If you can't make it on July 29** email info@microtheatercle.com for directions on how to submit We are casting for the following roles: **'I Can't Even Hear What You're Saying Right Now' by Jonathon Morgan** 1 male, 40-60 y.o. / 1 any gender, 40-60 y.o. / 1 female, 18-30 y.o. **'Double You' by Jacob Rasmussen** 1 male, 20-40 y.o. / 1 male, 70+ y.o. / 2 females, 40+ y.o. / 2 queer elders **Possibly other roles TBD** - for shows written by Rachel Zake, Greg Vovos, Zach Manthey, Leo Fez, Tessa Gaffney, and Greg Mandryk. **The MonoDOGue Stage by Samantha Cocco** featuring monologues by Samantha Cocco, Maggie Cregan, Veronica Voll, David Hansen, and John Busser Any gender, any age. In 2024, Doug Kusak created a character who told them incorrect facts about Cleveland, and Danielle and Jason Tilk created a spooky macabre duo that guided the audience in silence. We are looking for dancers, magicians, jugglers, monologue-rs (we can write a monologue for you if you're not a writer!), dialogue-rs (think a couple breaking up over something silly). Whatever you want to do, we'd probably love to have you. Come show us what you got! Micro Theater CLE is donation based and always free for audiences. No equity contracts available. DIY free performance art for the people! In 2024, our two pop up festivals drew almost 900 Clevelanders. Questions? Hit us up at info@microtheatercle.com. We're excited to hear from you!
