If you are looking to learn how to swing dance the right way, come see us at Get Hep Swing. Our 5-week group classes begin Tuesday, Sept 10th at the Brecksville Center for the Arts. Please pre-register at www.BrecksvilleArts.org. The class runs from 6:45-7:45 We make learning how to partner dance FUN! Learn the easiest form of partnered dancing – The Jitterbug! Also known as East Coast Swing, or just Swing. You will learn the basic footwork patterns and how to lead and follow a fun mix of spins and turns in open and closed position. Learning to swing dance is a great way to meet people and get some exercise! You do NOT need a partner to take this class however, there is a discounted rate for people who sign up as a couple with one person assuming the role of Lead and the other person assuming the role of Follow. We do rotate partners in class, however, if you bring a dance partner and do not want to rotate that is fine too. You must pre-register to be enrolled in this class. Classes do sell out so please register as soon as you are able. Discounts may not be combined You may repeat any beginner class you have already taken as many times as you wish. Most students take the beginner class at least 2-3 times and often take it in addition to the intermediate level class. Students should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that easily allow you to pivot. High heels are not recommended for this class.
