Ardmore is Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities certified as Supported Living, Individual Options (IO) and Level One Provider. *POSITION DESCRIPTION:* Using Theatre staff will help facilitate a safe space for practicing the ability to self- advocate, follow directions, collaborate, and to create and meet deadlines. Through role play, theatre games mask work and character study Company Members will strengthen their social and emotional awareness. Staff are also responsible for assisting with the development and running of activities that provide skill reinforcement in areas that may include: socialization, personal hygiene, communication, exercise, interpersonal skills/relationships, reading and language development, anger management/relaxation, civic awareness and self determination. Activities may be provided at the Center or in the community. Staff will assist participants in completing any programmatic needs as stated in the individual’s ISP. Staff responsibilities will include completion of necessary documentation and providing supervision of the participants in the program as stated in their ISP. Staff may need to provide hands-on supervision of personal hygiene and/or toileting needs. Staff will need to understand and demonstrate the approach of person-centered planning. Or Love acting? This is the job for you! Theater on the Spectrum is an Adult Day Support program operated by Ardmore, Inc. and the Center for Autism and Applied Drama. Staff will work with Company Members attending the program on developing skills that are essential for creating theatre and other skill reinforcement activities. The Theatre on the Spectrum Program provides services to 10 individuals with Autism, physical and/or intellectual disabilities. This is a Part-Time position, working 20 hours per week; with vacation and sick time accrued on hours worked. The rate of pay is *$10.00* per hour *HOURS OF THE POSITION ARE:* Sunday: OFF Monday: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM Tuesday: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM Wednesday: 11:00 AM-3:30 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM Friday: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM Saturday: OFF *NOTE: There may be some additional evening and weekend hours for performances and special events.* *QUALIFICATIONS:* High School Diploma; B.A. in a related filed preferred (or course work toward degree) and experience with autism and DD preferred. Theatre experience preferred but not required. *REQUIRED:* Ohio Driver’s License, car, insurance and good driving record required.
