Dear Neohiopal Subscribers, I am so so sorry that almost all of the performing arts activity in the region has gone silent due to COVID-19. I am sure we can all agree that this is very necessary to keep everyone safe and to hopefully hold down the spread of the virus. I look forward to the day when this is all behind us and activities return to normal. I hope that your organizations will be able to weather the inevitable financial difficulties that will arise. You have probably noticed that there have been a lot less postings to Neohiopal. If you subscribe to the digest version, you've seen that the last digest had only one posting in it. Until the last couple of days, a digest went out every time the bandwidth of the total postings reached 150,000 bytes. I also am able to trigger a digest any time - and I have done so in the past for donation requests, and I will do again with this posting so you see this right away. In order to keep the postings timely, I changed the setting recently so that a digest would go out once a day around 4:30pm with whatever postings had been sent out in the previous 24 hours. If and when the threshold reaches 150,000 in less than 24 hours, that will also trigger a posting. Let me know if you have any ideas for how Neohiopal can be of additional service in this difficult time. Stay safe. Love, and Warm Regards, -- Fred Sternfeld Neohiopal Ltd. Thank you Fred for your leadership, especially tested in this troubled time. Reading the Ghost Light post and Anne McEvoy's poem is comforting. If anyone wants to add their theatre to the list and spreadsheet, please reach out to me. I have no way of tracking how many people are donating to keep theatres in their neighborhoods afloat, but I hope in good support we will get through this.
