“CHILDREN OF EDEN ” AT HATHAWAY BROWN THEATRE INSTITUTE- RUNS JUNE 30-JULY 9
“*Children of Eden*” BEGINS HATHAWAY BROWN THEATRE INSTITUTE’S *2017 SEASON FROM June 30- July 9, 2019* *Don’t miss this compelling family story from musical theatre genius Stephen Schwartz * SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO – Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute begins its 2017 summer season with the inspirational musical CHILDREN OF EDEN*, presented at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, from June 30-July 9.*
From musical theatre greats, Stephen Schwartz and John Caird comes a joyous inspirational musical about parents, children and faith…not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! Freely based on the story of Genesis, CHILDREN OF EDEN is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. Adam, Eve, Noah and the "Father" who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: that "the hardest part of love... is letting go.”
“It's about second chances, of course," says Schwartz – “a compelling family story of rage and guilt and their consequences, and the need to begin again.” Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, June 30, July 1, 7, 8, at 7:30 pm; and Sundays, July 2 and 9 at 2:00 PM. *The show is presented at the Hathaway Brown School, 19600 North Park Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio 44122.
