*CLEVELAND MUSICAL THEATRE'S* *BUSINESS OF THEATRE INTENSIVE* *WITH CASTING DIRECTORS & MANAGERS* July 14-16, 2017 at Tri-C Eastern Campus Open to Students Ages 13+ *ABOUT THE INTENSIVE* Ready to learn the ins and outs of the industry from actual Broadway casting directors and agents? In '*Audition Technique*," "*Business for Actors*," and "*Marketing Yourself*," you'll learn everything there is to know about the real world of auditioning, including headshots/resumes, finding an agent/manager, what to wear in an audition, how to market yourself in the audition room, self-tape auditions, how to impress the casting director, and so much more. On the final day, students will audition for a panel of artistic directors from major regional theatres and receive personalized feedback. *ABOUT THE FACULTY* *JAMIBETH MARGOLIS: *Jamibeth Margolis, CSA (Casting Director) is now entering her 20th year as a professional casting director in New York. She was with Johnson-Liff Casting, Cameron Mackintosh, and Margolis-Seay Casting and is now out on her own as a freelance casting director. Previous credits include the Broadway and National Touring Companies of such hits as Les Miserables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, and Cats as well as two dozen other shows on Broadway. She currently casts for Off Broadway, National Touring Companies and shows for prominent regional theaters and all of the major theater festivals in NYC. Her casting office is dedicated to the development of new plays and musicals. Additional casting credits include multiple television pilots and on camera industrials for major US companies. Current Casting Projects: Sistas: The Musical (Off Broadway), Rebel Rebel: The Many Lives Of David Bowie (Tour), the National Yiddish Theatre and many more. Jamibeth serves as the resident casting director of Cleveland Musical Theatre. *CHRISTOPHER SILVERI:* After a brief stint in acting, Chris moved on to cast commercials with Liz Lewis Casting Partners. He then went on to head up the Legit Department (Theater, TV and Film) at Gilla Roos, Ltd.. Now the Vice President of Talent Management at Prestige Management Group, Christopher's clients are working on both coasts and can be seen in all mediums of the entertainment business. He has clients who are recurring on MTV's Eye Candy, Netflix's Orange is the New Black, Bravo's Odd Mom Out, HBO's Crime, The Young & The Restless & Boardwalk Empire. Those are just the recurrings! He has had Guest Stars on nearly all television shows shooting here in NY.His theatrical clients have been in nearly every show you can think of: The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages, Million Dollar Quartet, American Idiot, Mary Poppins, Soul Doctor, Heathers The Musical, etc. Many of his clients have National Ad Campaigns running as well as major Print Ads.
