VIRTUAL Teacher Training Workshops
The Center for Applied Drama and Autism is hosting virtual teacher training workshops, with techniques that can be used online and in a live setting, beginning THIS SATURDAY, January 2. *APPLIED DRAMA FOR SOCIAL GROWTH * *Saturday, January 2* *Act for Advocacy: Morning Session (9AM-noon EDT)* Using improvisation and devising techniques to examine real-life scenarios in which autistic and disabled individuals learn how to advocate for themselves, for each other, and for their communities. *The Bully Project: Afternoon Session (1-4PM EDT)* Explore the roles and actions involved in bullying situations. Learn how the Victim can become the Protagonist. Discover how Bystanders may be moved toward positive actions. Find empathy for the Bully by understanding how people fall into that role. Learn how to empower students of all ages and abilities through basic acting skills.
