*FISHERMAN & HIS WIFE * *AUDITIONS* Spark Theatre Company announces professional, non-equity auditions for its upcoming production of *The Fisherman & his Wife*, to tour Lorain County schools May 6th-31st. In this folk tale, a fisherman who catches an enchanted fish and uses his three wishes to try to bring happiness to his wife with mixed results. As the fish grants the fisherman's wife's spiraling wishes, the audience creates sea and storms, goes fishing, and becomes chickens and ducks in the farmyard and servants in the magnificent castle the fish provides for the fisherman's wife. Auditions are open to actors of all types, ages 18 and up. Actors hired will undergo a federal background check through the Elyria Board of Education. Please note: Actors will need to have weekday, daytime availability (school hours) for performances May 6th-31st. *REHEARSALS: *Some rehearsals in early April PLUS April 26th-May 5th based on actor availability. *PERFORMANCES: *Saturday, May 4th- 7pm preview performance at Elyria Performing Arts Center; May 6th-31st as in-school assemblies throughout Lorain County. *COMPENSATION: *Actors are paid of stipend of $500.
