Job Opening: Visiting Assistant Professor of Acting & Directing
Ashland University Department of Theatre seeks applicants for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Acting & Directing beginning August 2015. Primary responsibilities include: teaching courses in acting – Stanislavski based for beginning and advanced majors, and non-majors, in an undergraduate BA program, directing 1 show and mentoring students. Additional responsibilities include advising student musical performance group and coaching KCACTF Irene Ryan nominees. Expertise in one or more of the following areas desirable: musical theatre, voice & dialect work, improvisation, Shakespearean performance, movement for the actor. The candidate should have demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and be able to show evidence of teaching effectiveness. MFA required and professional experience desirable.
