Weathervane Playhouse is set to take audiences Into the Woods AKRON- Get ready for an epic fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make as Weathervane Playhouse gets set to take audiences Into the Woods. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning book and score take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, enchanting, relevant, modern classic. Into the Woods plays in the Founders Theater through - July 1. The Weathervane Playhouse production of Into the Woods is made possible by generous donations from SeibertKeck Insurance Partners and the Akron/Summit Convention and Visitor Bureau. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. During the run of Into the Woods, Weathervane is hosting a "Parents Night" on June 14. Parents can enjoy a night out to see the show and the kids will get to take a theatre class! Children ages 3-12 will enjoy different theatre games and activities with our professional Weathervane instructors. Kids will check-in at 7:00 p.m. and check-out right after bows! One child is $10.00 and two is $15.00. Purchase your tickets for the show through our Box Office prior to registering your child. Reservations are required for Parents Night. Melanie Y.C.
