Independence Community Theater Presents Auditions for 'Hello Dolly' Directed by Richard Todd Music Directed by Gregory Paparizos Choreography by Debbie Conway and Christine Ritchea *When/Where:* August 11th and 12th, 7:00 p.m. Callbacks (by invitation) August 15th, 7:00 p.m. Production runs November 1st - 16th *Audition Info:* Auditions will consist of a group dance audition, followed by individual vocal auditions. We ask that you prepare a song which showcases your vocal range (under 90 sec. / bring sheet music / an accompanist will be provided). Songs from the show are acceptable but not required. Please dress for movement, and bring your calendar with any and all conflicts from auditions through November. Readings from the script will be held at callbacks. *Cast of Characters (ALL ROLES AVAILABLE):* Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi - An indefatigable, meddling matchmaker of strikingly dramatic appearance; a widow in her middle years. Ernestina - A heavy-set girl in need of Mrs. Levi's services. Ambrose Kemper - A young artist seeking to marry Ermengarde. Horace Vandergelder - Proprietor of a Hay and Feed Store in Yonkers, New York, and a client of Mrs. Levi's. A widower of some means. Ermengarde - The 17 year old niece of Horace Vandergelder. Cornelius Hackl - Vandergelder's chief clerk, 33 years old. Barnaby Tucker - An assistant to Cornelius, 17 years old. Minnie Fay - A young girl who works in Irene Molly's shop. Irene Molloy - A millineress with a hat shop near 14th Street in New York City. Mrs. Levi has introduced her to Mr. Vandergelder. Mrs. Rose - (chorus) Sells vegetables f eom a street cart, a friend of Mrs. Levi's f eom years before. Rudolph Reisenweber - (chorus) The Prussian major-domo of the Harmonia Gardens restaurant. Stanley - A young waiter at the Harmonia Gardens. Fritz, Harry, Louie, Danny, Manny, & Hank (non-speaking chorus/dancers) Waiters at Harmonia Gardens First Cook - Harmonia Gardens employee, German accent Second Cook - Harmonia Gardens employee Judge - (chorus) White-whispered, red-nosed, New York night court Policemen - (Several; only one speaking) New York City officers Court Clerk, Recorder - (chorus) Ensemble of townspeople of New York, Yonkers Band, Lodge Members, Feed Store customers, Harmonia Gardens customers, Polks Contest dancers, 14th Street Parade Ensemble
