NEOMFA Playwrights Festival opens Thurs, Feb 13 at convergence-continuum
CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS THE 2020 NEOMFA PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL FEBRUARY 13 - 22 Forthe ninth year, convergence-continuum continues its successfulcollaboration with the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) in CreativeWriting Program. The Festival runs two weekends, Thursday-Saturday at 8pm, with different plays each weekend. Week 1(Feb 13-15) features the full-length play A Shape to This Ache byMFA candidate Morgan Elswick, directed by Jonah Roth, featuring actorsJoan Janknowski, Joseph Milan, Claire Scott, and Kim Woodworth. Week 2(Feb 20-22) features the one-act play The Purple Queen by RalphMyers, directed by Tyson Douglas Rand, and two ten-minuteplays: First to Die Wins by JustinLazor, directed by Eva Nel Brettrager and Autopoiesis by OanaLeuce, directed by David Munnell. The Week 2 plays feature the following cast members in variousroles: J.C. Cifranic, Samantha Cocco, Jamal Davidson, Mike Frye, RobertLucchesi, Casey McCann, Grace Mitri, J.P. Peralta, Hanna Storch, Tim Tavcar andMonica Zach. The2020 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival opens Thursday, Feb. 13 andruns at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Feb. 22 atconvergence-continuum’s Liminis Theater, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113in the historic Tremont neighborhood.
