Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM from 3/17 - 4/15, with Sunday matinees at 2 PM on 3/26 and 4/2. But they are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star William Shakespeare. A chance meeting with a soothsayer gives them a glimpse of future of theatre - singing and dancing! The brothers set about writing the first hit musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, Nick and Nigel realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self and all that jazz. With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, “Something Rotten!” is an uproarious dose of pure Broadway fun and an irresistible ode to musicals. Its wacky take on everything from Renaissance fashion to the bubonic plague earned the Broadway production ten Tony Award nominations. CVLT's production is directed and choreographed by Marc C. Howard with musical direction by David W. Coxe. The cast features George Bailey and Ev Brodsky as 'Nick and Nigel Bottom,' with Joshua Budd as 'Shakespeare.' The cast also features Tom Jones (Nostradamus), Abby Longshore (Bea), Dennis Runkle (Brother Jeremiah), Emily Sedmak (Portia), Kegan Sulamoyo (Minstrel), Breann Zerby (Lady Clapham), Neil Rubin (Shylock), Nick Grimsic (Tom Snout), Louis Schwartz (Robin), Tobias Morrison (Peter Quince), Christopher Wuehler (Snug), with Jack Jennemann and Jordon Matthew as 'Bard Boys'.
