*Playwrights Local* *(http://playwrightslocal.org/ <http://playwrightslocal.org/>)* *Seeks multiple cast members* *For a staged reading on Thursday, October 18* *The Adventures of* *Fleische **Michecha of Rumilshtenikisigov* A new play by Matthew Greenfield Directed by Erik Andrews Synopsis The title character is a quiet Jewish boy-turned-man coping with a mysterious “pain” and very interesting times in the early 20th century: forced to leave his titular home town and wander around the world in service of the Tzar in two bloody wars, Fleische gets caught up in the turmoil of the Russian Revolution and eventually decides to immigrate to America, coming to terms with the “home-less” nature of the Diaspora and discovering a resilient home within himself in the face of the massive historical pressures of pogroms, wars, revolutions, and assimilation. Cast (All perform multiple roles in epic-style play) *ACTOR C: *Mother, Dying Sailor, German Soldier, Mary *ACTOR D: *Census-Taker, Naval Officer, Japanese Officer, New Census-Taker, Russian Officer, Bolshie Officer, Communist Mayor, American Immigration Official, American Offering Job * ACTOR E: *Soldier, Russian Sailor, Japanese Sailor/Japanese Soldier, New Soldier, Russian Soldier, German Soldier, Immigrant There will be 1-2 rehearsals in North Collinwood. The reading will be on *Thursday, October 18* at 7:00pm at the Creative Space at Waterloo Arts, 397 East 156th Street, Cleveland. This is an unpaid reading, but a great chance to be a part of a new play!
