The Tri-C Film and Media Department is casting for Student Thesis Films to go into productions this Winter/Spring!

Misery Forever After A film by Marvin Rojas A young adult searches for closure within himself as his inner demons torment him about his father's passing. Available Roles: Abuela Carmen: Mateo’s grandmother, 50-55 years old, who is extremely strong in character but really leaks vulnerability from time to time. Melvin: Mateo’s deceased father, in late 30’s, is very institutionalized which leads to almost abusive behavior in his form of parenting but tried his best to love Mateo as much as he possibly could. Samuel: Mateo’s boyfriend, 19 years old, acts as Mateo’s peace and tranquility and is extremely optimistic and supportive. Kid Mateo: The kid version of the main character, Mateo, is 6-10 years old, who is naive to the world and sees his father as his role model/hero.

To Grief and Destruction A film by Karina Khamuliak After losing one of her closest friends, a young woman struggles with the complexities of grief and her identity. Available Roles: Katie: 19 year old female, spiraling from the death of her friend. Tori: 19 year old female, shown in flashback before her death. Allison: 19 year old female, chipper suburbian girl who's hurting from the death of her friend, but hiding it better. Susan: Female, 40s, Katie's mom David: Male, 40s, Katie's dad

Unless You Could Go Back A Film by Alejandro Bucey A high school senior seeks revenge on his evil teacher but finds himself taken to the past where he learns that his professor wasn't always bad. Available Roles: Shane: 16 to 18 year old African American male. The younger version of the evil professor.

Final Escapade 2: Final Exam A film by Fatz The sequel follows a group of students as they face their end at the hands of a new foe. Available Roles: Dylan: 20s, male, Carlos’s boyfriend, muscle of the group Sasha: 20s, female, New arrival, badass “late-transfer energy” Crismon: 20s, female, Early casualty, emotional disruption Professor Martin (teacher): 30s, male Retreat organizer (first major kill) Deer Mask: Dean Alston, 40s-50s, male (coordinator of the “tests”)
