Auditions for Sure Thing and The Universal Language at Twin Masks Nov 19 and 20
Twin Masks Performing Arts Center (TMPAC), located at 9076 Church Street, Suites 2 and 3, in Twinsburg, is pleased to announce auditions for a Night of David Ives, featuring Sure Thing and The Universal Language, directed by Annette Fernandez. Auditions will be on Sunday, November 19 and Monday, November 20; both dates starting at 7pm. The show will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm on February 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2024, with a small intermission between the two one act shows. Rehearsals to begin December with a break for Christmas and New Years. Looking for 2m 2f. THE STORY: SURE THING. Two people meet in a cafe and find their way through a conversational minefield as an offstage bell interrupts their false starts, gaffes, and faux pas on the way to falling in love. Bill Bill is in his late 20s early 40s strong character actor Betty Betty is in her late 20s early 40s strong character actor THE STORY: THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE brings together Dawn, a young woman with a stutter, and Don, the creator and teacher of Unamunda, a wild comic language. Their lesson sends them off into a dazzling display of hysterical verbal pyrotechnics—and, of course, true love.
