BAD EPITAPH ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR "THE CENSOR"

Bad Epitaph Theater Company announces auditions for "The Censor" by Anthony
Neilson, and directed by Brian Pedaci.

BETC seeks 2 W and 1 M (all three aged 30 - 40) for an intimate, ensemble
experience. 

Auditions are Sunday, July 15 and Monday, July 16, beginning at 7 PM, at
2220 Superior Avenue in Cleveland.  Interested parties are asked to make an
appointment by calling (216) 556-4490.  

One (1) contemporary monologue is suggested, though actors can read from th=
e
script.  Photo and resume if available.

Bad Epitaph Theater Company presents "The Censor" by Anthony Neilson,
directed Brian Pedaci, at Asterisk Gallery (formerly Inside Gallery) 2393
Professor Street in Cleveland.  The Censor opens Friday, September 7, 2001
at 8 PM with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 7 PM=

through October 7.

Play Description: An avant-garde filmmaker has to defend her work to a
state-sanctioned film censor.  Which part of love is pornography?  Winner o=
f
the 1997 Writers' Guild Award for Best Fringe Play (UK).  A Cleveland
Premiere from Bad Epitaph.

General admission is $12, student and senior citizen admission is $8.

"The Censor" marks Bad Epitaph Theater Company=B9s return to 2393 Professor
Street in Tremont, the site of their 1999 production of Wendy MacLeod=B9s
"Sin".  The building, now home to Asterisk Gallery, will be converted into
an intimate performance space for the purposes of this production and
seating will be limited.
