CHARACTERS

KEVIN   Very late 20's to late 30's.  Attractive, but not overly gorgeous or=
=20
gym-perfect.  A theatrical director also currently working in advertising -=20
directing commercials and industrials.  He teaches theatre classes as well.=20=
=20
Recently ended a seven year relationship.  Is sensitive, funny and=20
intelligent.  The perfect husband.

RAY     30 - 40ish.  A priest.  Is very comfortable being gay.  Has a pretty=
=20
active libido which he manages to keep contained.  Very loose, funny,=20
outrageous.  Teaches theatre and arts appreciation in high school.  Kevin's=20
best friend for 13 years.  NOT a queen.  His sense of humor contains element=
s=20
of camp, but it is imperative that we believe he could function in a parish=20
and that parents would feel comfortable having him teach their children.  Hi=
s=20
humor is a humor of words and ideas, he is NOT nellie or mincing.  It is=20
always a challenge for the actor playing Ray to walk this line, but it is th=
e=20
essence of his character that the actor succeed.  Costume Note: He should NO=
T=20
wear priest garb.  A turtleneck and dark jacket work best depending on your=20
climate.

PHILIP  Late 20's - 30's.  Owns a travel agency.  Attractive and very easy=20
going.  Masculine, but in a very natural way, not playing butch or trying to=
=20
be "straight acting/appearing".  Everybody's best friend.  Great sense of=20
humor, extremely likeable.  Sexually, he is a top.

BRIAN   Mid to late 20's.  A dancer/singer/actor.  Has a great body=20
(particularly his butt, which is quite remarkable) and he dresses to show it=
=20
off.  Very "out".  Can be a little flip and jaded.  Loves sex.  Is a huge=20
bottom and looks upon sex as a fabulous celebration of being male and being=20
gay.  Lives for fun, but is responsible about how he pursues it.  Great sens=
e=20
of humor.

JAMES   Late 20's - 40.  A leather Top.  Butch.  Attractive.  A little too=20
serious at times, needs to lighten up.  Proud to be gay, but shuns feminine=20
gay stereotypes.  Has no appreciation
for gay pop culture, so it may seem at times that he has little in common=20
with some of the others
at the party.  Not true, though.  Deep down, a strong sense of friendship=20
binds all these guys together and James is no exception.  He may love to spa=
r=20
with Ray, and he may think Ray's obsessions with things like musical theatre=
=20
are a nightmare, but there is very real caring under the surface.  Has a=20
quiet strength - even when he is quiet, the wheels are always turning. =20
Costume Note: James should look like a leatherman without beating the=20
audience over the head with it - black boots, Levi 501s - either black or=20
worn blue - and a leather motorcycle jacket when he comes in depending upon=20
climate works just fine.  A black leather cockring is also a good touch.

ANDY        21 - 22.   Very cute.  Somewhat na=EFve, but only due to=20
inexperience and not being exposed to things - he is not stupid, just=20
unworldly, so he's slow on the uptake.  Likes to have fun but is easily=20
shocked.  A college student studying acting.  Shy and innocent.
